About Rebecca, who runs all the Shower Singers Clubs in London, including the choir in West London, choir in Notting Hill and choir in North London plus numerous singing clubs for kids

  • Rebecca has her DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) (formerly CRB Checks)
  • Rebecca studied at Sydney University and completed her Bachelor of Arts Communications majoring in Theatre Media and K-6 Education Mitchell College
  • In 1984 Rebecca joined the Mitchell College Choir where she sang for several years performing such epic master pieces as “Oh Fortuna” (Carmina Burana) by Carl Orff
  • As part of her degree she toured Australia to remote communities with a children’s theatre troupe called Cycle Productions
  • She achieved her Eighth Grade AMEB Classical Piano as part of her degree
  • Rebecca is a graduate of National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA)
  • Rebecca joined her very first choir in 1978 as an alto at one of Australia’s most respected private school choirs of the time, The Fensham Choir (and the more elite Fensham Madrigal Group). This choir performed all over NSW including at Sydney’s Town Hall, where they performed “Creation” by Benjamin Britten
  • Very quickly Rebecca’s particular talent was recognised and she moved up the ranks until she was official Head of Choir of the senior Madrigal group until 1982
  • In 2000 Rebecca sang in front of 47,000 people the French National Anthem in Stadium Australia for the Rugby match between Australia and France
  • In 2006 Rebecca joined the Gospel Choir “Ometis” performing at concert halls, special events and churches throughout France, including the Notre Dame de Pentecot Church, just off the Champs Elysees
  • In 2007 she sang with a 30 voice choir at Chateau Chantilly for an international event
  • Rebecca also does much volunteer work for children. She recently played piano for a school production of “Peter Pan” in Kent
